Peaceful warriors
Though sometimes we feel very strongly for our idealism, we must not resort to violence to pursue it, and it must be accepted that we might not always agree. At the end of the day what holds true is the value of the land and the wish to provide a good life for our tribe of family and friends. This way of thinking connects us peaceful warriors and provides a common ground where we can meet and shake each other’s hands and bow our heads to one another in respect.
Our true power lies within us all. It is how we come together as a tribe is that which makes us strong. The peaceful warrior is cunning and swift, using his/her intellect and individuality to persuade and convince people of what is the right; knowable path. So in this sense, the peaceful warrior is a trustworthy member of an even greater tribe striving for change in a world conflicted by destructive greed. This is why it is so important in this day and age to be a good listener. To actually hear, feel, and interpret things instead of just being present for them. Understanding for our fellow brothers and sisters is what makes us human. It is what makes us a tribe. Together we are strong, leaning on each other for support like the collection of brush in a woody thicket, a welcome shelter after days, months or years of tumbling around trying to stay aloft in a concrete world. Conversely as individuals, we fall, down into the darkness of jealous intent and selfish thinking, scattered about helplessly awaiting to be blown away by slightest breeze.
Here at the headwaters of the mighty river, our tribe of peaceful warriors sits, endowed with protecting the land and resources from the destructive greed of the wicked. And as the summer presses on, and when our rivers die down, the peaceful warriors will show the others how to conserve those resources and take pride in upkeep of the land.
No matter what challenges lie ahead, and no matter what efforts are put forth to debunk this land, the peaceful warrior will rise to the occasion to thwart any and all attempts to scar this magical world that provides so much for us. With grace, wisdom, and intellect on our side, the tradition of maintaining this land shall remain intact for many more tomorrow’s to come. For the spirit of the peaceful warrior will never die. So as long we stay a tribe.
